What You'll Do:


This role is part of the Accounts Receivable team and is responsible for working closely with the Accounts Receivable Clerks to provide support and training and assist the Accounts Receivable Manager to ensure all tasks are carried out promptly and accurately.

The individual has full proficiency in specific areas of discipline related to Accounts Receivable and will work under mínimal supervision.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing and mailing of annual Note Assessment invoices, including accompanying letter.
  • Prepare the annual proxy mailing and handling the subsequent receipt of proxies.
  • Oversee all Direct Bill refunds including preparing cheque requisitions and the recording of cheques into the billing system.
  • Maintain Note Billing system including entering premiums, payments, returned items and processing refunds, sending commissions to brokers, sending arrears letter, payment adjustments and letters for note transition.
  • Answer general accounts rec. inquiries from staff, Brokers, clients including settling nonpayment disputes and mid term pay plan change requests.
  • Responsible for performing year end tasks related to Accounts Receivable, providing reports and spreadsheets required by audit.

Requirements:

  • Three or more years experience in a related role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Adaptable with a "thrive mindset" and ability to work in a fastpaced changing environment.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams) with the ability to learn new or updated software.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Please note, this is a 1-year contract position.
