Role Profile
We are looking for a part time casual Facilities and Maintenance Support for our Collective Arts Toronto Location. This role is responsible for keeping the facility fit for purpose and safe for employees. The facility includes the physical structure, the equipment that supports the building, and the grounds of the building. We're looking for a handy person to support with keeping the building healthy in working order & clean.

A typical day as a Facility & Maintenance Support includes:

  • Provide & execute technical support for effective troubleshooting / problem solving activities and maintenance repair as needed
  • Execute weekly cleaning schedules
  • Inspect building, and equipment for needed repair and maintenance work
  • Reporting weekly on facility conditions
  • Respond to maintenance requests as required; troubleshoot issues to determine cause and repair
  • Assist with construction projects
  • Supporting renovation projects
  • Negotiate with outside contractors and supply vendors
  • Direct plant maintenance programs to generate cost improvements in assets, processes, and material
  • Facility and FrontofHouse Washroom cleaning including scrubbing, sanitizing and supplying the facilities
  • Office, kitchen and washroom cleaning
  • Cleaning of windows, doors and high use touch points
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs or vacuums floors
  • Performing heavy cleaning duties
  • Gathering and emptying garbage (office, production, retail, and other)
  • Dusting office and FrontofHouse ceilings, lunchroom, floorboards, office
  • General tidying up
  • Outdoor cleaning & maintenance as needed.
  • Background in general trades, Ie carpentry, renovations, plumbing & electrical.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and problem solve effectively and efficiently
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to multitask and prioritize situations that require immediate attention
  • Able to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Exhibit a positive attitude
