Salary Range:

University Under-graduate: $18.42/hour - $27.68/hour

Master's:
$24.62/hour - $30.99/hour

The Innovations and Strategic Development (ISD) team is responsible for identifying and developing initiatives, and programming in alignment with HEC's strategy.

As part of the focus area of Care Closer to Home, the ISD team is working on a new program to improve access to safe, high-quality team-based primary care in northern, rural and remote regions.

The team is also responsible for program design and delivery for activities connected to the health workforce, addressing the Pandemic Recovery and Resiliency focus area.


Other work includes:

supporting the organization as HEC examines its approach and resources related to strategic partnerships and maximize our opportunity to improve healthcare quality and safety for everyone in Canada; and HEC's Spotlight Series.


Your core responsibilities include:

  • Collects, cleans, analyzes, and synthetizes quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Establishes strong working relationships with staff and provides support as needed.
  • Assists in writing reports, meeting agendas, and briefings; taking meeting minutes; and preparing presentations to clearly communicate results and support decision making.
  • Supports the data entry, analysis and synthesis of data gained through ongoing collaborative teamlevel data and aggregate results reporting.
  • Assists with creating summary tables to translate knowledge.
  • Supports the synthesis of insights gained through routine environmental scanning.
  • Ongoing program implementation activity support.

Education and experience you will need to have:
  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in a health
  • related field is required
  • Advanced computer software skills in Microsoft Office suite and virtual environment.
  • Experience writing reports/ synopses, summarizing, interpreting, and synthesizing complex information into written documents.
  • Experience with data collection and analysis. Familiarity with Canadian health system care delivery issues.
