GENERAL DESCRIPTION
  • We are seeking an outstanding Technical Inside Sales Specialist with a focus on lighting controls to join our Mississauga team.
  • The ideal candidate should possess previous inside sales experience, a proactive attitude, a dedication to continuous learning, and a passion for emerging technologies.
  • This role involves creating lighting controls designs, quotations, and proposals, as well as nurturing customer relationships in a dynamic and rapidly expanding setting.
  • Success in this position hinges on the ability to bridge internal and external stakeholders to generate competitive quotes and proposals promptly and accurately.
  • This role reports directly to the National Sales Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Produce lighting control layout drawings and comprehensive bills of material based on construction drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret Sequence of Operation documentation and devise a system design that aligns with the specifications.
  • Compile complete Lighting Control Submittal documentation.
  • Formulate and present proposals to clients.
  • Engage with distributors and lighting fixture OEMs to establish model numbers, ordering codes, and logistics required for sales transactions.
  • Participate in product management strategies.
  • Distribute digital marketing materials to potential clients.
  • Initiate outbound correspondence (phone, email, etc.) with potential customers and pursue leads.
  • Maintain an accurate and updated sales pipeline using a CRM tool.
  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding order status, warranty claims, and RMAs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience in lighting controls and systems is essential.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales approaches.
  • Skilled in BlueBeam or AutoCAD design tools.
  • Thorough understanding of technologies and competitive system offerings in the commercial lighting controls sector.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend construction drawings such as electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and lighting or mechanical drawings.
  • Capable of simplifying complex concepts for various audiences and skill levels.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
