Team Assistant, you will provide support for the assigned team in their daily activities to ensure that patients receive prompt, effective customer service.

Hospital Team Assistant:
The schedule will be every Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm and the work location will rotate between our Trillium Health Partners - Credit Valley Hospital site and the Halton Healthcare - Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital site

Access Care Team Assistant:

Scheduled hours will total six 8-hour shifts every 2 weeks and will include day shifts (8:30 am to 4:30 am or 10 am to 6 pm) and afternoon shifts (1 pm to 9 pm) and some weekend shifts.

During the 6 month probation period, the roles will be working on-site at our Mississauga office. After probation the roles are hybrid, rotating between working from the office and working from home.
What will you do?

  • Provide administrative support services to Care Coordinators
  • Process new referrals, and orders for services, supplies and equipment
  • Process and assist in managing confidential patient records
  • Enter, update and maintain a high volume of patient data in the electronic database
  • Answer a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients, families and service providers, and refer callers as appropriate
  • Provide backup support to other positions, as required
What must you have?

  • A Grade 12 diploma (minimum)
  • 2+ years' related office experience
  • Accurate keyboarding/dataentry skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Advanced multitasking skills, with the ability to meet performance and service goals
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team and interact tactfully and sensitively with patients from wideranging cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
  • We have a mandatory COVID19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of COVID19 vaccination status prior to start date
What would give you the edge?

  • A college diploma in the health or social services field, or business/office administration
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, and office administrative procedures/concepts
  • Knowledge of services provided by Home and Community Care Support Services
  • Ability to speak French or another second language
