Role DescriptionThis is a Contractual role for a Real Estate Law Clerk with potential for a Full-time position.

The Law Clerk will conduct Commercial & Residential Real estate closings, prepare legal documents, communicate with clients, manage case files, and perform other administrative tasks.

This role is located in Mississauga, ON, with possible flexibility for some remote work.
Job DutiesManage complete real estate transactions from initial client intake to document registration with minimal supervision.
Review Agreements of Purchase and Sale, conduct comprehensive title and off-title searches, and perform execution searches.
Prepare requisition letters and respond to requisitions effectively.
Draft all closing documents and compile final reports for clients and mortgage lenders.
Interpret mortgage instructions from various institutions and prepare mortgage documentation accordingly.
Maintain proficiency in legal softwares such as Teraview, UNITY, FCT, LDD and Clio etc.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to work responsibilities and workflow management.
Exhibit excellent attention to detail along with strong organizational and time management skills.
Maintain high standards in both oral and written communication, ensuring clear and effective exchanges.
Utilize problem-solving skills and maintain composure under pressure.

Show willingness to learn and potentially assist in other areas of law such as Wills and Estates, and Immigration law, which would be considered an asset.

QualificationsProven experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk, particularly in handling high-volume transactions.
Excellent grammar and communication skills, with a proficiency in relevant legal software.
A proactive, detail-oriented approach, capable of working effectively under pressure.
