Mariposa Dairy is a leading manufacturer of award-winning goat and sheep milk cheeses based in Lindsay, Ontario.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality goat and sheep milk cheese products in North America through the efforts of our skilled and valued team for the benefit of our customers and community.

We are currently seeking an accounting clerk who will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll support.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable
  • Match purchase orders, goods received and vendor invoices for all inventory related purchases.
  • Entry of matching invoices and/or investigation of non matching documents.
  • Coordinate approval of non inventory invoices from applicable departments.
  • Entry of approved invoices in the proper period, proper department and correct general ledger codes, and project codes assigned where applicable.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, maintain vendor accounts and followup with any invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure all HST properly recorded.
  • Provides accruals regarding outstanding invoices for month end.
  • Reconcile and record credit card statements.
  • Prepare invoices for payment runs, ensure all vendors are paid on time and by due dates.
  • Perform related clerical duties including filing paid invoices, setting up files, preparing boxes for storage.
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Payroll Support
  • Back up for payroll

Who you are:

  • University degree or College Diploma in Accounting required, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with Navision / Business Central will be considered an asset.
  • Experience with Ceridian will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new software as required.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team, as well as independently.
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
  • Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Strong work ethic, and a selfstarter with a high level of personal integrity.
