Who you are


You must be passionate about teaching young and mature participants and even more dedicated to giving our learners the highest quality education and training required to land entry-level IT jobs upon graduation from the program.

The ideal person would have experience with information technology content, and a zest for delivery of interactive, facilitation-based training, utilizing multiple teaching strategies including self directed learning, flipped classroom and hybrid learning model.

You are prepared to work with and make an impact on the lives of underserved youths and adults. You are an energetic, dedicated, and engaging educator and mentor. You are passionate about creating employment opportunities for youths through targeted, holistic education.

You will have the opportunity to work with leaders, team members, and partners in the workforce development field to address the growing issue of youth un/underemployment.

Your work will also directly impact the growing skills gap in the I.T. industry in Ontario.

How you will make an impact:
Coach and support participants.

You will cultivate strong relationships with students to build trust and act as their personal coach throughout their program of study.

Your goal is to ensure students feel understood, accepted, and supported.

You will:

  • Evaluate students' abilities, interests, and personality characteristics and provide regular coaching and educational support activities on a biweekly basis, holding participants accountable for both structured and selfdirected learning plans.
  • Provide individual tutoring support to participants with demonstrated learning challenges, implementing appropriate interventions to address behavioral issues or learning difficulties that encourage motivation and engagement.
  • Hold daily dropin "office hours" to support participants with: exam preparation, study skills, motivation, time management, etc.
  • Supporting career development by assisting students with technical interview preparation and guiding them towards potential job opportunities as junior data analysts
