Description:
Brunel is seeking a Seismic HSE Field Representative to join our client's team.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in HSE within the energy or mining industries, with a focus on seismic activities.

This role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety within seismic operations.


Responsibilities:

HSE Compliance:

  • Ensure all seismic activities comply with HSE regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain and update HSE documentation, including safety data sheets, risk assessments, and incident reports.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential hazards associated with seismic operations and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement control measures.
  • Monitor and analyze safety performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Training and Education:

  • Deliver HSE training programs for seismic field personnel.
  • Ensure all team members are knowledgeable about emergency response procedures and safety protocols.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement in HSE practices.

Incident Management:

  • Take part in investigations into HSE incidents and nearmisses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and submit detailed incident reports to management.
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts in the event of an incident.

Field Operations Support:

  • Provide HSE support and guidance during seismic survey planning and execution.
  • Participate in daily briefings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety messages.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety gear.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, local communities, and other stakeholders on HSE matters.
  • Participate in public consultations and community outreach initiatives related to seismic activities.
  • Address HSE concerns raised by stakeholders promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE within the mining industry, with a focus on seismic activities.
  • Indepth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards applicable to seismic operations.
  • Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote field locations.
  • Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and on a rotational schedule if necessary.
