We already have presence and team members in the United States, however, we expect Toronto to become our North American Headquarters and are therefore looking for our first team members in Canada.


This is a hybrid role that will be based out of our office in downtown Toronto (to open later this year).

This role will involve business travel primarily within NA but also occasionally in Europe.

THE ROLE


For Skytree's next chapter of growth, we are looking for a
Strategy and Commercial Manager to support with commercialization of Skytree's scalable DAC Hubs to serve several markets including: Carbon Removal projects, Sustainable Aviation Fuels, Sustainable Building Materials and other industriesWhile the role has a number of responsibilities and tasks, the overall goal is
:To achieve Product Market Fit within our targeted industries.


This is an exciting opportunity for someone to identify opportunities and help unleash the potential of the very fast growing market for out-of-the-box DAC Hubs for any capacity CO2 CCU and CDR project.

For all the profiles we are looking for, a genuine interest in climate technology, alignment with Skytree values, and experience in business development in a fast paced industry is a must.


YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY

  • Acting as the Skytree expert for our DAC Hub proposition, articulating the value and utility of Skytree's technology, as well as representing Skytree toward potential customers and partners and at conferences
  • Developing and nurturing a pipeline of opportunities and defining effective partnerships that allow Skytree DAC Hubs to expand faster
  • Carrying out competitive intelligence, including research, analysis, and the development of competitive win strategies within the DAC Hub marketplace.
  • Working with regional teams to understand local regulations, legislation, and potential subsidies and assess their impact on future product strategies.
  • Developing the DAC Hub proposition roadmap in collaboration with Marketing, engaging with internal stakeholders and project managing the development lifecycle for new features in order to bring them to market.
  • Working closely with the Marketing team, especially with User Acquisition to drive healthy growth of active audiences.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience, especially working with industrial clients or carbon removal companies
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or any related field.
  • Business development experience and a track record of closing deals with large clients is a must.
  • Experience working in Product or Proposition Management, understanding how desirability, feasibility and viability criteria provide the foundations for building and retaining successful concepts and products.
  • A Tshaped individual: generalist and quick learner with an ability to provide a deep understanding of financial modeling, technical (hardware product) and partnership models.
  • Experience and excellence in presenting to an audience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of working with clients and partners in a complex environment.
  • Proven ability to work crossfunctionally with ease and manage competing interests in order to create and implement strategies efficiently and effectively, compromising where needed.
  • Ability to excel in dynamic environments where there is a high degree of uncertainty.
  • A genuine team player who is motivated to achieve objectives and overcomes challenges through close collaboration and coordination with other teams.
  • You are fluent in English and based in Canada within commuting distance to downtown Toronto.
