Responsibilities will include:
Assist the Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in delivering an appropriate educational program for Deaf & Hard of Hearing Students.
Assist the Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in classroom activities, activity preparation, assisting with education support equipment.
Provide support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing high school students in integrated classroom setting.Provide Communication Facilitator functions for non-classroom activities such as accompanying students to events and providing yard duty on a rotational basis.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.Providing services to high school students.
Identifying and resolving engagement issues.
Ensuring that deadlines and related time budgets are met.
Developing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships with clients, co-workers and all levels of staff and management.
Qualifications:
3 years of experience.
2 year post-secondary education in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies/Communication Facilitator, or equivalent combination of relevant education.
6 months of related experience.
Fluent in ASL, integrated lessons.
