PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor in a nutraceutical manufacturing plant. This role ensures that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and meet quality standards.

The Production Supervisor will lead a team of production workers, coordinate production schedules, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and safety.


JOB DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Production Management
  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Coordinate with the production manager to develop and implement production plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of raw materials and supplies.
  • Maintain and oversee the maintenance of production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Supervision and Leadership
  • Lead, train, and supervise production staff to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production goals, updates, and safety protocols.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and high morale.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage employee schedules to meet production demands.
  • Reporting and Documentation
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to the production manager.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Ensure that all products meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and audits to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCEED

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 25 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with manufacturing software systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pass a criminal record check
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

$28.00-$30.00 per hour
