You will

  • Supervise the production staff with clear communication of the execution of the work in accordance with GMP and SOP requirements.
  • Liaise with other internal departments (Customer Service, Safety, HR, Maintenance, Quality) to solve production related problems.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations, monitor attendance, and address performance issues.
  • Promote and participate in the plant's safety programs and policies in order to reduce employee accidents and injuries by embracing safety training and enforcing safety practices at all times.
  • Promote a teambased work environment where continuous improvement initiatives, department performance and personal achievement are promoted and recognized.
  • Ensure KPI targets are achieved including safety, quality, efficiencies and cost.
  • Provide leadership, direction, guidance and support to plant personnel. Develop positive, motivating, and efficient communication with all employees.
  • Build and maintain employee relations through consistent facilitation of the labour agreement.
  • Lead problemsolving efforts through the facilitation of team meetings and onthefloor leadership Ensure the Company's quality and sanitation standards are met through close liaison with the Quality Department.
  • Schedule employees to ensure production requirements are met on a timely basis.
  • Conduct regular crew talks to relay important information to production staff.
  • Provide daily shift reports and ad hoc production information when requested.
  • Audit and authorize all hourly payroll electronically in Kronos.
  • Ensure that all personnel under your direct supervision are informed about company policies, procedures and safety rules.

  • A post secondary degree or diploma from a recognized college or technical institute Minimum five (5) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience in the Flexographic Printing industry is not required however is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience in successfully leading, coaching, motivating and developing a team with a "hands on" approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated analytical organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer (MS Office programs specifically: Outlook, MS Teams, Word & Excel).
  • Must be selfmotivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative, work well under pressure.
  • Able to work day, afternoon and night shifts, Monday to Friday and on call weekend rotations.
