Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the biweekly payroll, including paycheques or direct deposit payments and pay stubs.
  • Responsible for the administration and accounting function for employee benefits such as Municipal Pension Plan.
  • Collects and reviews timekeeping information; obtains supervisory approval of scheduling discrepancies.
  • Maintains related records in accordance with established polices and guidelines and produce reports as required.
  • Calculate all earnings, deductions, advances and paybacks.
  • Update employee payroll records as needed.
  • Process and close periodic payrolls.
  • Calculate and deposit payroll taxes.
  • Answer questions from employees related to payroll topics.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills such as typing, system and software knowledge
  • Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding their issues and concerns

Schedule:
Monday to Wednesday (7.5 hrs/day), unpaid stat days off

$23.00 per hour
