Panel Builder / Junior Electrical Apprentice

Location: Kitchener / Waterloo / Cambridge / Brantford Area (Shop is in Burford Ontario) Compensation Range: $20 - $30 per hour Job Description:
As a Panel Builder and Junior Electrical Apprentice, you will be involved in electrical panel building and assembly tasks, working closely with experienced professionals in the field. This role will require occasional travel to various project sites where renewable energy projects are being implemented. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the assembly and installation of electrical panels, ensuring they meet industry standards and project requirements. Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
· Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical panels according to project specifications and safety guidelines.
· Work under the guidance of experienced electricians and technicians to learn and develop skills in panel building and electrical systems.
· Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely completion of panel assembly and installation tasks.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
· Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any issues or malfunctions promptly.
· Follow instructions from senior team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
· Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in electrical panel building and related areas.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager or team leader.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
· Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically 90% of the time, as required.
  • Ability and willingness to operate heavy equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to signal and rig loads up to one hundred tons.
  • Ability and willingness to work and climb heights a minimum of 300ft.
  • Ability to meet specific OSHA weight limits of 250 to 300 lbs. max.
  • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability and willingness to manage repetitive weight - 50 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments including but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
  • Ability and willingness to be available for rotation shift schedules 24 hours, seven days a week.
