- Participates in builder, contractor, and trade organizations, and shows to complement sales efforts, as required.
- Monitoring all sales activities within the territory/region to include sales volume, expenses, marketing tools usage, competitive and market intelligence, industry trends, and sales goals responsibly.
- Keeping records and developing reports as required of all phases of activity concerning competitor price information, complaints, sample requests, credit reports, receivables, etc. Completing all pricing, job quotes, and AFE requests in a timely manner, always following proper approval procedures.
- Calling on prospective customers, distributors, builders, and contractors. Following established guidelines on new account qualification and acquisition.

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;**
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and minimum 5 years sales experience (outside preferred, roofing required).
- Understands the basic principles of residential roofing as it is incorporated into the building industry in general and metal roofing specifically.
- Understands the premise of “partnering” with distribution and contractor base as a specific sales tool.
- Understands the differences and working relationships between roofing contractors, remodelers, architects and building contractors.
- Utilizes efficient and effective planning in the accomplishment of short-, mid
- and long-term goals.
- Is capable of analyzing a specific market or a territory in general so that management can formulate goals for accomplishment through the utilization of planning vehicles.
- Strong communication skills in English, Bilingual in French preferred
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license and can travel throughout the designated territory with some overnight stays

**WORK AUTHORIZATIONS AND TRAVEL;**
- Must be able to travel up to 80%, and work flexible hours (including nights and weekends) to complete tasks as assigned, overnight travel could be required
