Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and acquiring daily duties from the Customer Service Manager your job description would include the following:

  • General component purchasing including but not limited to the below:
  • Stationary Supply Purchasing
  • Sourcing & Purchasing of Maintenance Supplies
  • Sourcing & Purchasing of General Plant Supplies
  • Managing & Purchasing Janitorial Supplies
  • Purchasing & Arranging Photocopier Service and Supplies
  • Purchasing Production Tool and Dies from Specified Suppliers
  • Processing Testing Purchase Orders
  • Sourcing & Purchasing Promotional Items as requested
  • Processing Incoming Receipts for both General and Inventoried Purchase Orders
  • Processing Invoices from the Accounting Department
  • Engineering department support with component sourcing and quoting (technical knowledge an asset).
  • Managing and communicating with all the company's external suppliers relating to general component purchasing.
  • Production Inventory Purchasing Support.
  • Incoming freight arrangements for all general purchased items, including but not limited to, tools, production dies, and maintenance components.
  • Customer Tooling Support including but not limited to pulling invoices, creating asset tags, and working with appropriate individuals to prepare information for customer.
  • Ensure parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time to match production/office requirements.
  • Identify new suppliers, agree on terms and negotiate supply agreements in unison with Neocon key personnel, including discount structures and volume rebates.
  • Incoming freight arrangements for all general purchased items, including but not limited to, tools, production dies, and maintenance components.
  • Reach out to both inventoried and general suppliers regarding sponsorship of annual staff events.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping critical information confidential.
  • Additional job related duties as assigned.
  • Business Administration diploma preferred or 35 years' experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with management and production personnel along with individuals outside the organization.
  • Ability to affectively multi task and prioritize tasks given to you.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
