Senior Advisor, Vulnerability Management

A job opportunity as a Senior Advisor, Vulnerability Management at the National Bank of Canada involves collaborating with different technical teams to ensure the organization's security. By using your expertise in vulnerability scanning, as well as your technical knowledge in application security and infrastructure management, you will identify, prioritize, and highlight vulnerabilities for prompt resolution.
Your responsibilities
- Comprehend and analyze vulnerabilities
- Prioritize the resolution of vulnerabilities
- Assist remediation teams in implementing corrections
- Conduct follow-ups and validations as needed
- Stay up-to-date on emerging vulnerabilities and threats
- Work alongside cybersecurity professionals to mitigate risks
Your team
As a member of our Security Operational Center (SOC), you will closely collaborate with experts in cyber defense, cyber offense, cyber threat intelligence, and vulnerability management. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Cyber Threat Intelligence and Attack Surface.

Requirements
- Completed Bachelor's degree related to the role and 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of application security
- Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools like Nessus, Acunetix, Veracode, etc.
- Good grasp of Windows, Linux, and AIX infrastructure management
- Familiarity with virtual environments (Citrix/VMware) and CSP (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Excellent communication skills in French and English, both written and verbal
