Roles & Responsibilities:
- Under supervision, monitoring Kananaskis park pass compliance with Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) equipment
- Operate within the enforcement guidelines
- Visit various locations throughout Kananaskis Country as directed by the team leader
- Professional interaction with the public
- Uploads / Notes / Review
- Attend Court when necessary and ensure evidence and Court procedures are conducted to a professional standard.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to applicants with law enforcement experience. _(Traffic/Police experience or equivalences will be considered)_
- Must be able to meet all the requirements of the Alberta Public Safety and Emergency Services to obtain a Peace Officer Appointment
- Technology savvy with the ability to learn new systems.
- EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) or equivalent
- Standard First Aid/CPR
- Experience working with various Alberta Provincial Statutes, Municipal Bylaws, Traffic Safety Act, and other jobspecific training and experience.
- Able to work independently and conduct themselves in a mature & professional manner.
- A strong communicator with high attention to detail to support note taking.
- Flexible with the ability to coordinate schedules with peers.
- People oriented, displaying a positive and helpful attitude.
- Able to deescalate tense situations when interacting with the public while maintaining a calm demeanor.
Location:
Kananaskis, AB
**This role is required to work on-site.
Work Conditions:
- This position is required to work a variety of shifts, which includes days, evenings, and weekends.
- This position works 10hr shifts and averages 80hrs every 2 weeks.
Conditions of Employment:
- Successful applicant will be required to obtain a satisfactory criminal background check.
- Must have a clean drivers abstract.
- Must be able to provide a claims experience letter form their respective insurer that meets the requirements of Global Traffic Group's insurer.
