    Parts Technician to join our team based out of Whitehorse, YT. Previous experience in a parts department setting is required to qualify for this position. A Red Seal would be considered an asset.

General Information:

Wage is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Procure parts from a variety of suppliers (local and across Canada)
  • Prepare parts estimates for internal and external repair orders and/or sales
  • Process incoming requisitions expediently according to company and customer PO procedures
  • Schedule and arrange the transport of materials by air or road
  • Manage and maintain stock shop supply quantities
  • Calculate transportation costs and prepare transportation records
  • Perform clerical duties such as updating and maintaining record data systems, tracking shipments, updating PO's for accurate recordkeeping, and any other duties as required

Requirements:

  • At least (3) years' experience in heavy duty parts management or a related setting
  • Product knowledge of heavy equipment and/or commercial truck and transport parts
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency in mind
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Excellent data mining and analytical skills
  • Inventory management experience
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office (predominantly Outlook, Excel)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and in a fastpaced environment
  • Knowledge of parts inventory systems such as SIS, Quickserv, and RepairLink would be considered an asset
