Cameco has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to be a part of a diverse procurement team responsible for supporting Cameco's Corporate departments on a permanent basis.
In this role you will source a range of materials, equipment, and services, conduct RFQ's/RFP's and interact closely with internal and external stakeholders.
In your work, you will be contributing to value creation from procurement activities, acting as a service provider to our partners in various corporate departments, as well as participating in continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
At a granular level, your regular work will include guiding internal stakeholder on best practice, sourcing best overall value to meet internal customer needs, generating and expediting purchase orders in an SAP environment, developing and executing contracts, managing vendor on-time delivery and facilitating expeditious resolution of blocked invoices to ensure efficiency in the procure-to-pay process.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- A bachelor's degree in business, commerce, or in a related field
- Three or more years of experience in the supply chain management procurement field
- Strong Relationship building skills
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
Assets:
- Previous SAP experience
- A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation
