Saw Operator (Truss Production)

Company Profile
Norspan Engineered Wood Products is looking for a full-time Saw Operator to join our team. Forklift experience will be considered an asset.

The Saw Operator will be responsible for:


  • Operating computer controlled saws according to Company Standard Operating Procedures (i.e., health & safety, quality, on-time, etc.)

Managing lumber stock:

Inspecting the condition of all equipment, the quality of the materials being used and the quality of the work being performed and completed:


  • Ensuring that basic equipment maintenance is performed on a regular basis (i.e., greasing of bearings, etc.)

Maintaining a clean workstation throughout the shift, in addition to final clean up shortly before the end of shift:


  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Proficiency with computers and ability to learn new software quickly:


  • Must have woodworking and/or construction experience:

Demonstrated ability to read schematics and a tape measure in the foot-inch-sixteenth method:
