The National Mobile e-Power market (segment) manager will develop and maintain a highly effective sales strategy for the Motion Divisions Mobile e-Power market. Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Mobile e-Power market (segment) manager will drive growth initiatives in the business areas of e-Mobility, electrification of any kind of construction machines, material handlers, dump trucks, electrical buses, and railway.

Your responsibilities
  • Define the industry strategy with the highest growth potential in the Mobile e-Power Industry based on a holistic understanding of the market and the players. Lead the implementation of customer account planning - covering the sales and product strategy and the segment specific value proposition - and support the ABB Sales Units in reaching the sales targets.
  • Define pursuits requiring capture teams & implement pursuit/lead teams. Participate in pursuits, drive specifications- and influence activities and the winning strategy. Main focus: Demand Orders for e-Mobility; electrification of any kind of construction machines, material handlers, dump trucks, electrical buses and for the entire portfolio for Railway.
  • Act as the Global Account responsible for Motion division (e-Mobility and Railway) towards targeted ac-counts (OEM's and Operators), driving important stake holders in the business areas of underground mining, open pit mining, cargo handlers, bus OEM's, train builder OEM's, train operators. Develop supply agreements and maintain existing FA's with key stakeholders and support the sales units in pursuits with those accounts. Develop, maintain, and expand long-term relationships with those accounts at various hierarchy levels.
  • Develop, in close cooperation with Management the industry related value proposition and marketing material, as well as sales training material. Define market communication concepts and ensure their execution via the market communication team.
  • Develop a strong industry sales community within the sales units in our core markets (in close co-op with other divisional disciplines), with the required application know-how and sales skills to best serve the local customers. Drive and ensure active know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
  • Identify key customer needs and closely work with Product Management to support the development of segment specific product offerings, solutions, and packages.
  • Work collaboratively with other divisional sales teams to ensure coverage of opportunities related to key project pursuits within the Mobile e-Power Sector. Develop and support synergies with other ABB business lines and develop joint pursuits to leverage existing ABB Customer relationships.
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree (engineering or technical degree preferred) and 8 years of relevant sales/business experience or 10 years of relevant sales/business experience required.
  • Knowledge in Mobile e-Power market, background with OEM's or operators for bus, constructions ma-chines, mining equipment, cargo handlers etc. is preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, account management and cross-selling strategies, with a preference to having a technical background in power electronic or transportation.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time across Canada.
