We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Auditor - Private Career College to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and auditing, with specific experience in higher education institutions. The Auditor will be responsible for performing financial, operational, and compliance audits to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our college's operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of financial and operational processes within the college.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as college policies.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform risk assessments and identify areas of potential exposure.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on audit-related matters.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, CIA, or CISA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of auditing experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant accounting and auditing standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with audit software and financial systems (e.g., Banner, Workday) is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
