children and parents.- Ensuring that the kitchen is operating in accordance with Public Health and

Provincial licensing standards.- Promote the positive image of the company and play a major role in making the

company a provider of choice in educational programming for the communities that
- we service.
  • Work alongside and report to the Supervisor.
  • Help construct the weekly grocery list with knowledge of the current supplies and
necessary groceries to fulfill the upcoming menus- Basic knowledge in food handling and preparation is essential to work in the

kitchen

  • Working in the B&A program for 2 hours a day.

Job Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements,

including:

  • Up to Date Food Handlers Certificate or are willing to complete the course.
  • A desire to positively impact the lives of children and families.
  • The ability to demonstrate an understanding of current provincial policies and
regulations. Full knowledge of Public Health policies and procedures- Possess critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to bond with children and parents.
  • Previous experience working in a commercial or childcare kitchen.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization and time management skills; attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
  • Uptodate CPIC, immunizations and CPR/First Aid.
