THE ROLE:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and technological needs.
  • Design and oversee the continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable quick and reliable deployment of our software products.
  • Collaborate with software development, security, and IT operations teams to create a cohesive and automated operational process.
  • Manage and mentor the DevOps team, setting clear goals and expectations, and providing ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and CI/CD methodologies to drive innovation within the organization.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to support DevOps tools and services.
  • Report on key DevOps metrics and performance indicators to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Other duties as necessary
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a DevOps leadership role, with a strong background in cloud technologies, especially Azure.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD tools and processes, and experience with automation tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to work across departments to drive organizational change.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and security principles.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Certification in Azure or other cloud technologies is highly desirable.
