The Sales Representative for Uponor is responsible for selling and promoting product to new and existing accounts. The Sales Representative ensures post-sales satisfaction, facilitating positive long-term relationships and high potential for repeat business with customers. This role is responsible for setting account and territory plans on an annual, quarterly, and/or monthly basis.

This is a fully Remote position with the ideal candidate located in the Greater Toronto Area .

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in the development of strategies and tactics with our Rep agent partners for continued growth in this territory for builders, plumbers, mechanical contractors, engineers and distributors at all levels of the industry.
  • Administer budget related to Travel & Entertainment, product giveaways, Co-op and other marketing related efforts for their territory, while managing a budget related to the regional Travel & Entertainment, product giveaways, Co-op and other marketing related efforts for their territory.
  • Maintain maximum margins for territory by using and controlling customer related incentives.
  • Complete demand forecasting requirements, utilizing CRM (Salesforce) for project opportunity management in the territory.
  • Participate in local, regional, and national Trade Shows.
  • Track local market conditions (housing starts, new developments, code issues etc.) for territory.
  • Plan and support all field training programs for distributors, heating contractors, plumbing contractors, builders, architects, and engineers on all products & company technology. Coordinate efforts with Sales Manager, Field Tech and training department.
  • Respond to requests for information in a timely manner with regards to product and marketing.
  • Manage RMA issues in the territory and take ownership through completion.
  • Maintain and build a strong company presence and image in the entire sales territory to include an important focus on brand awareness.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to management when political, technical or product problems arise.
  • Seek out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years' experience or equivalent experience within the industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Plumbing and Heating industry and experience with Builders, Plumbing Contractors, Manufacturer Representatives, Wholesale, and Distribution.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills are required.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Preferred location: Greater Toronto Area
