Job Summary:

This group is responsible for conducting GLP Product Chemistry studies in support of the registration of new UPL AgroSolutions/BioSolutions products.

The GLP Laboratory Assistant position will be working closely with a GLP Study Director, who has overall responsibility for the study they are conducting.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform various phases of sample preparation and analysis using a variety of techniques, which may include physical/chemical properties (pH, colour, odour, physical state), storage stability testing, five batch analysis and method validation.
  • Use a variety of laboratory instrumentation that may include HPLC (UV, DAD, ToF MS, MS and MS/MS), GC (FID, ECD and MS).
  • Complete all analyses using Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and established methods (or methods in development).
  • Perform excellent record keeping with strong attention to detail.
  • Training in GLP will be provided.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • College diploma/degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • An interest in analytical chemistry.
  • Experience with simple lab techniques, use of balances, separatory funnels, rotary evaporators, volumetric glassware
  • Excellent communication capabilities and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think independently.
  • Computer proficient.
