Software Engineer / Developper (Full Stack) (Open Source for Cybersecurity)

Cyber Eco ( is a Canadian non-profit association which unites large organizations with ambitious cyber security innovation goals and the willingness to collaborate to build a better cyber security landscape for Canadian corporations, government and citizens.

We further this mandate of collaborative solution development with an innovation acceleration center which hosts over 25 startups and scale-ups in cybersecurity, resilience and data protection.

We have an ambitious project aiming to build a comprehensive library of code for cybersecurity software to enable fast MVP creation for startups.

Our goal is to empower innovators and help them succeed by providing robust, open-source tools and resources.

Full Stack DeveloperLocation:
Montreal, CanadaType: Full-timeResponsibilities:Develop and maintain a library of code for cybersecurity software, ensuring high quality and security standards.
Collaborate with a team of developers to build and enhance SaaS products.
Engage with the open-source community, contribute to projects, and integrate feedback to improve our offerings.
Assist startups in leveraging our library to create fast and secure MVPs.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
Ensure all software is documented and adheres to best practices for cybersecurity.

Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field preferred

Experience:
Proven experience working on SaaS products, ideally for solutions targeting the information technology, telecommunications, cybersecurity sector

Languages:
Proficiency in modern programming languages, particularly: Python, Go (Golang), Rust,JavaScript, ), RubyFrameworks: Django or Flask (Python), Spring Boot (Java), ), Ruby on Rails, React, Angular, or (JavaScript)

Tools & Technologies:
Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible

Open Source:
Demonstrated experience contributing to open-source projects.

Strong understanding of secure coding principles and best practicesAbility to write clean, maintainable, and secure code, Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
