We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, who enjoys building products that deliver disproportionate value to bench scientists working for the largest and most advanced pharmaceutical companies in the world. This role sits at the intersection of science and data and combines an ability to deeply empathize with bench scientists, their needs, and their pain points, especially in the pre-clinical phase of new drug development.

This is a challenging, impactful, and highly collaborative position. Reporting to the Director of Product, you will be responsible for translating the platform vision to inform the direction of the product and its roadmap and take part in a cross-functional team working together to realize our ambitious mission to exponentially increase the speed and quality of life-saving R&D.

You will:
  • Act as the owner of BenchSci's translational product offering, driving the development, launch, and measurements of success for your areas of the product
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand user needs, gather feedback, and drive product direction that fulfills critical customer needs
  • Develop the strategy and roadmap for our translational product offering to drive product adoption through the creation of new features and optimization of existing features
  • Own and facilitate a product backlog, prioritizing and allocating resources to maximize impact and value to customers
  • Collaborate with and influence across a cross-functional team of experts in design, user experience, engineering, and science to drive execution and successful adoption of our translational product offeringDefine, measure, and report success metrics to key stakeholders to demonstrate product health, value, and adoption
You have:
  • 5+ years as a Product Manager on SaaS enterprise life science products and/or Experience working on scientifically informed data and products
  • Experience and knowledge of Biological Sciences (e.g., Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, etc.) or equivalent
  • Experience with data visualization products, leveraging expertise in translating complex datasets into intuitive visualizations to drive informed user understanding and decision-making
  • A proven track record in bringing clarity to a complex domain and driving alignment between technical and data teams, and the rest of the company
  • Successfully taken new features from conception, through launch to adoption, engagement, and retention
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes over outputs
  • Strong problem-solving skills - can deal with ambiguity, lead discovery efforts, prioritize, and lead execution of objectives, ensuring they ladder up to key strategies
  • A data-informed decision-making process, can identify new opportunities and provide sound reasoning for strategy decisions from that data
