The immediate objective of this Job Opportunity Advertisement is to staff one (1) indeterminate position in Ottawa, Ontario with a CBC/CBC linguistic profile.

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates could be established to staff similar or identical positions at Health Canada in various locations, with various tenures (including but not limited to a term appointments), various linguistic profiles (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, BBC/BBC, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, English Essential), various security requirements (reliability or secret) and conditions of employment could vary according to the position being staffed.

Graduation from a recognized university with a degree in a field relevant to the duties of the position (e.g. in psychology, social work, counselling, business administration, etc.)

Graduation with a master's degree from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position (e.g.clinical psychology, social work, counselling, etc.).

EX1 Significant* experience in planning and conducting client needs assessments.
EX2 Significant* experience building and maintaining relationships with external/internal clients.
EX3 Experience in managing a budget (Cost recovery).
EX4 Experience in providing strategic advice to senior management.*
  • Significant is defined as having the depth, breadth and complexity of experience associated with the performance of the duties for a period of at least 18 months.
**Senior management is defined as Director or above. K1 Knowledge of Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and related services.
