Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Propane Service & Operations Supervisor on a permanent basis for our Northern Alberta propane team in Edmonton, AB.

We are looking for someone with supervisory experience in the trades to oversee our driver and service technician team Whether you have experience in the propane industry, or are interested in learning more about it, this is a great opportunity to use your leadership skills and trade knowledge in a meaningful way.


What you'll do:

  • Anticipate and assess customers' propane heating needs, make fulfillment recommendations to the customers, and coordinate the completion of service work and propane deliveries.
  • Oversee the driver and service technician team, the distribution of bulk propane, propane tank installations, and daytoday customer service.
  • Ensure proper propane tank inspections and maintenance on all equipment (e.g., trucks, cranes, service units, trenchers) is being performed and documented.
  • Support training, certification upkeep, performance management, and recruitment of the drivers and service technicians to maintain a compliant and engaged team.
  • Complete daily administrative tasks on platforms such Excel and SharePoint to create and maintain records of accounts, sales, training, schedules, maintenance, etc.

Who you'll work with:

The Team:

You will be the direct supervisor of approximately 6 service technicians and propane drivers and will report into the Propane Area Manager on a team that strives to create a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and exceptional service.

You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting the Northern Alberta region's rural, commercial, and residential propane customers.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in branch management and:

  • Have 8+ years of relevant experience in supervision and the trades. Experience in the energy service industry is considered an asset.
  • Ideally have a Gas Fitter ticket and/or some form of postsecondary education (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have an aptitude for process optimization, team management, customer service, and driving results.
