Job Summary


The Performance Marketing Specialist will support the execution of the different performance marketing programs, with focus on Traditional and Digital Marketing paid channels (Traditional media, Display, Paid Social, Paid Search etc).

This role will report to and work closely with the Performance Marketing Senior Manager and media buy agencies in order to drive profitable omnichannel traffic and customer acquisition.

Essential

Responsibilities:

  • Operates, monitors, and improves the execution of our media buy programs
  • Activates media and ensures timely, accurate launches and ongoing delivery
  • Streamlines reporting received from agencies and internal sources to pull together a holistic view into performance
  • Reports on all activity, gathering necessary metrics and data points to create insightful recaps
  • Supports development of Performance Marketing reporting and dashboards
  • Adopts a test & learn approach, leveraging data to provide rationale and results
  • Supports the daytoday workflow of the Performance Marketing programs
  • Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to optimize existing programs across all channels and develop new ones
  • Collaborates with the Brand, Creative and Integrated Marketing team to ensure that we deliver 360 campaigns with consistent and resonant messaging, leveraging consumer and competitive insights, across all paid marketing
  • Analyzes market and consumer research and develops recommendations for targeting the Pet Valu customer
  • Responds and acts in a timely fashion on online marketing issues received from cross functional teams and franchisees
  • Responsible for project planning for multiple complex process improvements
  • Works through automation, tagging, and data integrity issues with cross functional partners in Product, Engineering, and Analytics as needed.
Experience, Education, Certifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Marketing or Advertising with a leading retailer or agency
  • Minimum 1 year experience in performance marketing preferably with eCommerce experience
  • Postsecondary education, Marketing preferred.
  • Experience using online advertising solutions such as Google Adwords, Facebook Ad Manager, etc.
  • Familiarity with all digital marketing metrics including CPA, CPC, CPM and ROAS.
  • Experience utilizing HTML5, CSS3, ampscript an asset
  • Experience in a retail organization an asset
  • Knowledge of analytical platform like Google Analytics
  • Experience in a franchisee environment an asset
  • Knowledge of pet industry an asset
