Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain with 33 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 11 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec.

The Company's continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

The Role:

Reporting to Manager, Media & Communication, Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role as a collaborator among various business groups, including internal/external stakeholders, creative & media agencies, and compliance teams, to ensure the smooth delivery of marketing plans and programs aligned with business objectives.

The primary responsibility involves creating, coordinating, and executing strategic multicultural campaigns aimed at enhancing brand penetration in new markets and driving sales and promotional success.

Additionally, this role involves light creative production that turn ideas into great outputs.

Major Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution (80%)

  • Expert in storytelling and bringing key initiatives to life for corporate brands (new store announcements, new product launch, seasonal campaigns, etc.) as well as pitching creative initiatives (big and small) to Marketing function team.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to plan inlanguage media plan & creative initiatives across owned, paid and earned channels to help drive business goal.
  • Prepare creative briefs, manage campaign calendars and projects ensuring a timely launch.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of ethnic markets and stay updated on the latest trends in market. This knowledge is crucial for developing effective and efficient Marketing and Communication plans for inlanguage campaigns.
  • Manage project workflow ensuring timelines, work back schedules, versioning, approvals are being met.
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally and develop relationships with Marketing team/cross department & external partners.
  • Curious mindset to adapt and try new formats, platforms & ways of working.
  • Use industry tools or programs to report on campaign performance, key learnings, and business results.
Creative Production (20%)

  • Part of the responsibility will involve photography and videography, with duties including studio shooting, onlocation shooting, lighting, and audio setup, as well as postproduction (using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere).
  • Executing all aspects of video from preproduction through postproduction including storyboarding, shooting, editing, sound mixing, and color correction.
  • Knowledge, Skills and

Ability Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in Marketing project management. Educational background in film production, cinematography or a relevant field is an asset.

  • Solid experience with digital technology and postedit software packages (adobe Photoshop., adobe Premiere, and/or After Effects).
  • Highly motivated, selfmanaged individual with strong project management skills, and an ability to prioritize, communicate, and maintain deadlines; you understand the importance of developing project management expertise and thrive in a complex and rapidly changing environment with tight timelines.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written English and Chinese. Ability to work independently, problem solving and strong interpersonal skills.
