Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for 170 employees located in Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, wages, bonuses, deductions, and taxes.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records and overall employee files, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Verify and process timekeeping data, including regular hours, overtime, and leave.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries in a timely manner.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
  • Collaborate with the HRBP for more complex Benefits request.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries. We promote an open door policy.
  • Coordinate with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related transactions.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required payroll, benefits, headcount reports to government agencies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in payroll and benefits regulations in Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Ceridian) is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
