Skills and Responsibilities:

  • The Disaster Recovery Consultant will play a critical role in ensuring the clients readiness for ransomware recovery and overall disaster recovery planning
  • This role involves conducting interviews with client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather essential information, reviewing client-provided data, and documenting everything in a Disaster Recovery (DR) playbook based on the clients existing capabilities
  • Additionally, the consultant will identify and document areas of improvement to enhance the client's disaster recovery strategies

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Interviews:
Engage with client SMEs to capture necessary information for disaster recovery planning

  • Ensure all relevant details are accurately and comprehensively gathered

Review and Analyze Information:
Review client-provided data and documentation

  • Analyze existing capabilities and identify gaps or areas needing improvement

Documentation:
Populate the DR playbook template with gathered information

  • Document detailed disaster recovery playbooks for ransomware recovery.
  • Develop and complete disaster recovery playbooks for three initial applications, detailing recovery strategies, critical business functions, and technical recovery steps
  • Document a comprehensive recovery plan that includes dependency mappings, sequencing for recovery, and organizational RACI charts

Required Skills:
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with client SMEs and documenting complex information clearly and comprehensively

Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand processes and logical sequences for recovering systems/applications based on provided documentation and information

Disaster Recovery Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of disaster recovery planning, particularly for ransomware recovery

Familiarity with Technologies:
Experience with Palo Alto Prisma, SaaS, Mainframe and on-premises technologiesTata Consultancy Services Canada Inc.
