SFU Parking Enforcement Officer

The Opportunity:


Our SFU Parking Ambassadors are committed to delivering excellent customer service and are responsible for enforcing SFU Burnaby campus parking compliance that includes, daily and event parking enforcement, safety violations, pay station maintenance, customer service and reporting.

Full training and uniforms are provided.

You will be a great fit if you are:

  • A Class 5 driver with a clean driver abstract
  • TCP certification is not mandatory but preferred
  • Experienced in data entry, logistics, and inventory control
  • IT literate and confident with using technology, Excel, and MS Office suite
  • Experienced in customer service in a fastpaced and busy environment
  • Confident in conflict resolution
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English

Shifts:

Monday Tuesday and Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Wage:

$19.25 per hour

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with onsite contacts in the portfolio.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to campus visitors including staff, faculty, and students.
  • Issue citations, including safety violations, permit parking, daily parking, reserved and disability parking, timed parking, and event parking.
  • Enforce parking with impartiality, sound judgment, and discretion.
  • Arrange and coordinate with clerical staff to call for vehicle towing and releasing vehicles upon confirmation of payment and receive payment for vehicle impounds.
  • Direct traffic, place cones or barriers, direct people, and pedestrians.
  • Place event parking signage and other information signage in parking lots, pay stations and elsewhere as directed
  • Accurate reporting of lot counts, lot and sign maintenance, vehicle tows, wheellocks and pay station and parking enforcement vehicle malfunctions.
  • Communicate appropriate information to Supervisors and SFU stakeholders.
  • Represent Concord Parking and SFU in a professional and positive manner.
