Position Title:
Limited Term Part-Time Assistant Program Head, Business

Status:
Part-Time Administration Contract - until December 2023

Hours: 25 hours per week

The University of Guelph-Humber; 207 Humber College Blvd. (North Campus); hybrid work environment combining a minimum requirement of on-campus work at least 3 days/week.

Payband/Salary Range:
NFT PT Admin 05: $ $54.28

What you will do:


Reporting to the Program Head of Business, the Assistant Program Head provides administrative support to the program including but not limited to curriculum development, staffing, recruitment, supervision of student activities and liaising with other departments at the University of Guelph-Humber and external partners.


What you bring to the role:

Education

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum five years of professional work experience in accounting, management, leadership, finance, human resources, marketing, or international business.
  • Demonstrated management and administrative capability, preferably within the university, public or education sectors.
  • Experience in or substantive understanding of the program discipline.
  • Recent experience working to support the needs of a diverse undergraduate student body would be an asset. Demonstrated success in achieving outcomes is essential.
  • Have experience in education that demonstrates a strong commitment to pedagogy, student engagement and curricular excellence.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience supporting curriculum planning and academic program delivery.
  • Have excellent awareness and a commitment to considering equity, diversity, and inclusion in decision making, and communication approaches.
  • The ability to prioritize and respond to situations promptly and mediate between conflicting interests.
  • Have a high standard of professionalism in personal interactions with staff, faculty, and students, and lead by example.
  • Have demonstrated ability to remain impartial when dealing with students, faculty, staff, especially in reviewing academic matters.
  • Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence.
