Department Overview
- Private Trust delivers three core services: power of attorney, executor and trustee services where The Canada Trust Company is either acting through an appointment to these roles or as an agent. The Manager, Customer Service will lead a team of Private Client Service Associates across the Region and be ultimately focused on operational and service excellence, and reducing the burden of risk management and oversight.

Job Details
- The Manager, Customer Service plays a key role in supporting our Private Trust Teams across multiple Branches; creating capacity for our senior members to focus on partner engagement, business acquisition and growth targets; the client experience; and mentoring, coaching, and leading a team of trust professionals.
- The position will report to Regional Manager, Private Trust.
Job Requirements
Job RequirementsTraining and Supervision**- Lead the Private Client Service Associates team to achieve or exceed objectives for Operational Excellence
- Onboarding and Training of Private Client Service Associates policies, procedures, and systems and ensure the appropriate support within the Region
- Ensure consistency and efficiency with Private Client Service Associate role; and high level of administrative support to Trust Officers
- Deal with administration issues and delays
- Arrange training sessions for Region
Risk
- Oversight of overdraft reporting and management (and cash balances)
- Monitor Investment review progress
- Ensure annual Risk Review items actioned and current
- Coordinate preparation for risk reviews, audits, Quality Assurance Program reviews, spot checks
- Attend regular portfolio review meetings with PT Leader(s), Trust Officer, and Private Client Service Associate
- Monitor Blanket Insurance List for Region
Projects and Initiatives
- Coordinate/complete projects/requests from National Support Office and Tax Department
- Coordinate revenue tracking for National Office
- Involved in national initiatives to increase efficiencies
Branch Assistance
- Work with Private Trust Leader(s) on shared allocation of Branch duties
- Monitor Service Standards / Key Performance Indicators
- Participate in Action Planning meetings for TD Pulse
- Engaged in reviewing branch operating model
- Other duties as assigned by Private Trust Leader(s)
Additional Information
Additional Information/Capabilities
- Experience in incapacity and estate and trust administration
- Exposure to estate and trust law
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills to support frequent interactions with field members, national office, operations and governance and control
- Resourceful; indepth knowledge of Private Trust and TD Bank Group policies and procedures
- Additional professional competencies, either completed or currently enrolled (e.g. TEP, CETA, CSC etc.). Some tax and investment knowledge is an asset.
- Experience leading, developing and coaching others
- Some travel required within Region
