The Opportunity:

We are recruiting a
Family Support and Education Clinician
(Adult & Intensive Services and FACT)
-
_This is a regular full-time role (35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, and regular evening work) based at 80 Waterloo Ave. Guelph and 67 King Street Kitchener. Additional regular travel within Guelph, KW, Cambridge and Wellington county (AIS teams) is required._

Qualifications:

  • Masters level training in psychology, social work, or in a related health or social science field
  • Registration with relevant college/registering body or willingness to register
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in providing communitybased mental health services
  • Sound understanding and demonstrated knowledge of the needs of people with mental health and addictions concerns and their families, and the programs and services available in the community
  • Knowledge of concepts applicable; Motivational interviewing, Solutionfocused etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment and supports available to mitigate risk
  • Experience and demonstration of strong group facilitation skills for an adult learning target audience is required
  • Highly developed organizational, communication and problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a selfdirected work team
  • The ability to work collaboratively with community partners and other service providers
  • Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to social and cultural diversity
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook and various database software
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle and insurance, as travel is required

Level 6 (OPSEU) - $34.28 to $41.78 per hour
