The Opportunity:

Avantor is currently on the lookout for a motivated Material Controller (f/m/d) to join the team in Monksland, Westmeath . In this role, you have diverse responsibilities such as receiving goods, sorting, and labeling goods, coordinating deliveries and much more

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30

The team

Together with your colleagues, you are part of a supportive, small team, belonging to our department Lab and Product Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

What we're looking for:

  • Completed Leaving Certificate and a curiosity for Science
  • Full training will be given, previous experience in pharmaceutical/food manufacturing environment desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience with materials handling and/or warehousing would be an advantage
  • Ability to understand and follow Health & Safety instructions
  • Computer Literate (especially with MS Office)
  • Customer service mindset
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Process driven and high levels of attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and own car due to remote work location

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Perform daily review of inventory and timely resolution of inventory, planning, and supply chain issues
  • Confirm production orders promptly and monitor closure/completion schedule
  • Review and reconcile inventory discrepancies related to production material inventory
  • Plan and process pack orders and re-grades with customer service and operations planning efforts
