What you will be doing:

As an Accounts Payable Technician, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance related to general accounting, more specifically, responsible for the accounts payable of the company.


In your day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Receive, process, and verify supplier invoices.
  • Record transactions on corporate credit cards in the accounting system, and prepare credit card payments.
  • Record expenses accurately in ledger accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice information.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders.
  • Prepare and print checks and electronic payment forms for timely settlement of supplier invoices.
  • Resolve account discrepancies with suppliers by reconciling statements and transactions and responding to queries.
  • Offer support for monthend process and perform other related accounting tasks
  • Assist with annual audit to provide supporting information required by external auditors.
  • Assist the finance team with special projects.

What you must have:

  • Certificate in accounting (or equivalent).
  • 12 years of experience in accounts payable or similar position.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, proficiency with rest of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with financial accounting software (NetSuite an asset).
  • Fluent in both French and English.
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Experience in a multicompany / multicurrency environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with a positive attitude who works well in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with deadlines
