Overview

This role is part of the Media Relations & Issues Management team at KPMG, focusing on delivering media activations for cutting-edge campaigns. This team is known for their innovative approach within the broader Global Communications team, engaging with external channels, communities, and stakeholders to enhance external communication strategies.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Media Relations and Issues Management colleagues to create and implement media plans for KPMG, focusing on service line campaigns (Tax, ESG) and company-wide initiatives (Financial Results, Davos participation).
  • Develop and nurture internal relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring strong external communication programs that yield positive ROI.
  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of key business areas and global priorities, along with expertise in external communications best practices.
  • Promote connectivity and messaging consistency across different business areas, building relationships with local counterparts to align with global campaigns.
  • Support the Issues Management team as necessary, handling both proactive and reactive media engagement effectively.
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of experience in communications.
  • Proven track record in media relations and collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and operate effectively in a global, matrix environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, demonstrating a clear understanding of business objectives.
  • Effective influencing and communication skills, particularly when engaging with internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with diverse cultures and time zones, willing to adapt to flexible schedules.
  • Educational background: Diploma or undergraduate degree.
