Opportunity Summary

Responsibilities

  • Saw Cutting Asphalt and Concrete
  • Concrete green cuts
  • Responsible for operating a variety of concrete saws for exterior construction projects
  • Operator is expected to take care of company equipment and vehicles
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and paperwork required is complete
  • Be selfmotivated and dependable

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience
  • Class 5 license and own means of transportation to and from shop or job site
  • Experience driving a trailer would be an asset
  • Basic mechanic skills are ideal
  • First Aid is an asset
  • CSTS 2020

Hours of Work
Days, evenings, and weekends. Hours are based on the needs of our clients and scope of jobs. Extended work hours with overtime may be required.

Working Conditions

  • Steeltoed, CSA approved safety boots required
  • Dusty
  • Weather conditions vary: Hot, Cold, Windy, Rain
  • Walk and stand for long periods
  • Bending
  • Crouching

The following will be required of you:

  • Review, understand and follow all Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Follow OH&S guidelines
  • Potential participation in Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee, monthly meeting and representative in the field.
  • Participate in Hazard Assessments, Job site inspections, and Equipment Maintenance Inspection, nearmiss or Accident-Incident forms
  • Inform the Safety Manager of all Incidents, Accidents, Nearmisses and Safety Infractions
  • Participate in Safety toolbox Talks, FLHA's daily
  • Implement Safety into all tasks related to your scope of work
  • Ensure proper use of PPE

Wage
- $25 - $39/hr

  • To be discussed at interview
  • Wage based on experience
