Summary of Position:

The Assistant Parts Manager assists with operational and inventory controls of the parts departments.

You'll be assigned team members to ensure customer satisfaction, minimize obsolescence, and maximize sales & profit while maintaining the department's productivity and efficiency.


Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Assist and supervise parts operations at assigned locations
  • Review weekly operational results and participate in creating revenue ideas
  • Conduct meetings and provide feedback to appointed team members
  • Support team member's development and provide solutions to solving technical inquiries or conflict resolution
  • Review team member certifications
  • Temporarily assume roles of team members on vacation
  • Participate in housekeeping tasks
  • Other duties as required by management

Inventory:

  • Review fill rate and maintain adequate inventory level
  • Assist with obsolescence and return tasks
  • Support team members with procuring and reviewing SOP

Job Qualification Requirements:

  • Postsecondary diploma/degree or equivalent experience
  • Two years of experience in a parts supervisory role in an automotive dealership
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and drive results
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Indepth knowledge of parts inventory and business management
  • Experience with software systems including Reynolds Ignite, S-Gate, MPI, and Microsoft Office
  • Valid Class 5 driver's License
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
