Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our furry friends.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals, assisting with feeding and exercise routines, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.


Duties:

  • Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
  • Provide food, water, and medications to animals as directed
  • Assist with bathing of animals
  • Exercise dogs in designated play areas
  • Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the veterinarian or supervisor
  • Assist with basic training and socialization activities for animals
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
  • Assist with customer inquiries, including providing information on services and scheduling appointments

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with animals is required
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners
  • Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and prolonged periods of standing, bending, and walking
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Basic computer skills for record keeping purposes

Duties

12:30 pm to 3;30 pm monitoring dogs in play yards.

Learning basic running of facility to fill in for staff on holidays or sick days

Tip sharing

Benefits only commence with 20 hours a week worked

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay:
$17.25-$25.05 per hour
