COMPANY BACKGROUND
***The Network and Systems Manager's role is to plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT assets. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. The Network and Systems Manager is also responsible to hire, lead, and manage a team of technical specialists to resolve end user hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Network and Systems Manager is also responsible for negotiating and managing contracts with external IT venders to ensure delivery of required service at the optimal price.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and implement the IT infrastructure upgrades and improvements.
  • Responsible to hire, train, and lead a team of qualified technical specialists.
  • Manage network security solutions including firewalls, VPN, Anti-Spam, and IDS.
  • Maintain patch management and computer security.
  • Deploy and maintain network monitoring to ensure proper operation, connectivity and performance of servers and network resources corporatewide.
  • Develop the corporate hardware and software policies to ensure standardization and compatibility at minimum cost.
  • Manage the IT hardware budget and vendor contract negotiation. Work with Director of IT to define IT strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership. Troubleshoot and remediate 3rd level support issues.
  • Responds to emergency situations as needed for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns. Provide on call support.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Other assigned duties.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or the equivalent.
  • 10+ years' experience in IT infrastructure.
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Active Directory 2012/2016, in multisites, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Palo Alto Firewall, Cisco routers/switches, VMware, Corporate AntiSpam/Antivirus protection, WiFi, MDM, Citrix Presentation server, ISA, Nagios, MRTG and Linux.
  • VOIP Mitel, Teams, Ring Central, Backup, Veeam, Surveillance Systems (GeoVision\HikVision)
  • Solid background in LAN/WAN architecture, server hardware and maintenance, DNS, DHCP, computer and network security, monitoring and VPN connectivity.
  • MCSE 2012/2016, Palo Alto, Cisco CCNA and GIAC GSEC security certifications.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
