The Role
Learning content research, analysis, writing and development (50%)

  • Write various types of learning and informational content for a range of audiences
  • Develop templates and other tools to guide and track the gathering of learning content
  • Conduct research to identify credible and relevant sources of information
  • Write various types of learning and informational content for a range of audiences
  • Develop visualizations of content wherever appropriate
  • Implement learning content into various authoring software
Proposal/grant search and writing (20%)

  • In collaboration with the Director of Digital Learning Initiatives, search for and strategically identify funding opportunities for innovative projects
  • Develop clear, relevant and evidencedbased proposals, seeking expertise from team members as needed
  • Develop presentations, briefs, short papers to support the presentation of Sandbox projects to various highprofile audiences including senior government officials, foundations, research institutes and at international conferences
Research, writing and data analysis (20%)

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to understand client and end user objectives and needs, including analyzing existing information and data and designing and conducting interviews, focus groups and surveys. This includes conducting such research for Sandbox's R&D projects.
  • In collaboration with our technical team, use data analysis skills to contribute concepts and methods for innovative R&D projects.
Client communications and coordination (10%)

  • Participate and take notes in client meetings
  • Organize project materials and keep project management tools updated
  • Support Project Lead and other team members with client communications

What You Bring to the Table

  • 2 to 5 years of work experience in a writing, research and analysis role, in academia, government or the private sector
  • You are a curious and motivated researcher, at ease with sourcing and analyzing extensive information on a wide range of topics
  • You are excellent at analyzing and synthesizing information, extracting relevant components, formulating clear and concise ideas and writing for different audiences
  • You are at ease with analyzing, manipulating and presenting data in different static and dynamic ways to enhance the audience's understanding
  • You are a collaborative and communicative team player, and a goaloriented selfstarter who can work independently in order to meet milestones and achieve high quality work
  • You are a proficient and informed user of generative AI tools in the field of research, writing and data analysis
  • You have experience working with technical teams, including software developers
  • You have a university degree, college diploma or certification in any field of study demanding rigorous research, writing and analysis
Bonus if you

  • Have knowledge of, or experience in, learning design principles and implementation
  • Know how to code (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, others)
