Working closely with operations and maintenance personnel at the Sarnia Refinery, this role is to provide inspection services to support the construction/repair of new and existing pressure vessels and piping.

In addition, the Inspector will co-ordinate the non-destructive examination (NDE) program to monitor the pressure vessels and piping at the refinery.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Welding or High school diploma with 2+ years of related experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of Nondestructive testing methods
  • A valid driver's licence and a clean driving record

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in all phases of maintenance; material selection, inspection & testing plans, execution and final testing
  • Participate or lead inspection activities for both ongoing nondestructive testing program and outages. This will involve quality field inspections, analysis of results and recommendations for correction of substandard equipment
  • Ensure integrity of static equipment is maintained and improved through Reliability Group and Maintenance programs and procedures. Monitor effectiveness of programs and procedures and recommend changes
  • Recommend inspection technology to improve inspection effectiveness
  • Prepare, review and maintain inspection database and reports for quality analysis

Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Sarnia refinery in Ontario, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway
  • Hours of work are a regular 40hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
