Job Title:
Business Analyst

Our client in Ottawa, ON is looking for a Business Analyst resource for a 12-month contract, with a potential extension of 12 more months.

The role offers flexibility for remote or onsite work, but the candidate should be located near Ottawa due to frequent meetings.

As a lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the assigned SIS module, the Business Analyst must have a comprehensive understanding of the module to carry out key responsibilities, support business areas in utilizing SIS functions, evaluate processes, identify improvement areas, and implement solutions.

Facilitating and engaging in configuration workshops, module-specific working groups, creating future process maps, and supporting various activities like testing and data mapping. Leading reviews of processes and creating future process maps. Developing functional specs, updating configuration documents, and collaborating with other team members.
Ensuring solutions align with business needs.
Requires a minimum of ten (10) years' experience as a business analyst;
Significant experience with ERP systems, cloud solutions, and transformative projects, especially in postsecondary student information systems;
Knowledge of Thesis Student Management is preferred
Familiarity with back-office processes and process mapping standards;
Experience in analyzing IT automation solutions and enhancing business processes;
Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint;
Understanding of data and process modeling;
Experience in end user training;
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodology;
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate issues, listen, and engage stakeholders;
Experience with MS Project and integrated planning is a plus;
Salesforce knowledge is an additional advantage;
PM experience is beneficial.
